The trio of Felmas Koranga Adhiambo, Brenda Adhiambo and Georgia Adhiambo have officially joined the Kenya Lionesses’ camp. Felmas and Brenda, both based in the US, and Georgia, based in Kigali, Rwanda were the only players who were not in camp. With a full house in place, the focus shifts to the coaches to make sure the team creates chemistry and that the ladies prepare well to tackle the challenge ahead.
The Lionesses will have a tough matchup against South Sudan, Egypt and host, Rwanda. The Uganda Gazelles withdrew from the competition, citing lack of financial support from the government. Kenya needs to win all three of her matches to qualify for the prestigious Women’s Afrobasket.
