Beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola has officially announced a partnership with FIFA for the world cup trophy tour that will see the coveted trophy tour select countries in the world. Kenya will play host to the trophy on the 26th and 27th of May where football lovers will have an opportunity to see the trophy. Kenya is one of nine African countries selected to receive and host the trophy as part of an exclusive tour ahead of the FIFA World Cup™ event in Qatar from November 21st– to December 18th.

Speaking about the Trophy tour, Debra Mallawoh, the Vice President of Coca-Cola East and Central Africa Franchise, said the fan-based activity was meant to give nations that did not qualify for the World Cup an opportunity to experience the magic of the event. 

“We are thrilled to share this iconic moment with our consumers, stakeholders, and football fans in Kenya. Football is a sport that uniquely unites us all and this will be a moment for all of us to enjoy and be part of this global, iconic experience.”

As a run-up to the event, Coca-Cola is running a campaign dubbed ‘FIFA World Cup Buy and Win promotion that will see 5 lucky winners get an all-expenses trip to watch the World Cup Live in Qatar.
