Kenya Breweries Limited through their brand Whitecap hasannounced their involvement in the 2022 prestigious Rhino Charge event.

 The annual landmark event hosted by the Rhino Ark Kenya Charitable Trust every year aims at raising awareness and sensitization toward the conservation and protection of Kenya’s mountain range ecosystems.

In the 2022 edition of the event, White Cap will be sponsoring Charge Team 19 Bush babes, an all-female team that will be participating in their 12th Charge event. The team will also double up as the brand ambassadors during the event.

Speaking during the sponsorship launch, Senior Brand Manager, Kenya Breweries Limited, Abel Ratemo endorsed the role Rhino Ark Charity had in sensitization of environmental conservation through the competition. He added that KBL was pleased to join in the company of celebrated corporates that prioritizeconserving the environments in which they exist.

“On behalf of Kenya Breweries, we are extremely excited to be part of the Rhino Charge competition for the second year running. Our experience was nothing short of special as we got to enjoy the unique adventure that is the Charge. As KBL, we have and continue to prioritize sustainable behavior within all our interactions, and supporting events like the Charge will ensure we actualize this goal”

Speaking at the event, Bush babes Captain Petra Somen, expressed their excitement at partnering with KBL as they plan to continue their positive showing at the Charge.

“We are excited to participate in our 12th Charge event. It has been a privilege to continually show up for this worthwhile cause to raise awareness of environmental conservation, something we are extremely passionate about.  We are also glad to be partnering with Kenya Breweries as we share similar values on promoting inclusivity and diversity in Motorsport and increasing sensitization on conservation within our environs”

Last year’s edition managed to raise a total of KSH 1,050,000 which was invested in conservation efforts around Baringo County.

The event which was initially conceived in 1989 to raise funds for the construction of the Aberdare Electric Fence has so far raised over KSh1.6 billion for the vital projects managed by Rhino Ark.
