KPA Outshines Young Sisters From Burundi While Equity Hawks Falls To ASC From Egypt

The defending champions KPA started off the FIBA Zone 5 Championship with a win edging Burundian side Young Sisters 69-42. Behind Victoria Reynolds 13 points and Madina Okot 10 rebounds, KPA look to defend their title in this years tournament.
Equity bank fell short of upsetting rivals ASC from Egypt in a hotly contested match that ended in a heartbreaking 49-51 in favor of the Egyptians. Melissa Akinyi was Equity’s top scorer leading the way with 12 points. 
Equity will look to bounce back in their second game against Nile Legends from Sound Sudan on Wednesday 28th. while KPA will face off against Rwandan side REG.
